I wanted to know how to install GSM on my new global set. I was surprised to discover a video on how to install GSM with microG in a just a few simple steps. The video producer managed to get all Google apps including Android Auto to work properly except for 2 apps - Google Pay and Google Assistant. Without Google in the phone I can't even pair a Sameung watch to make nfc payments, which is already an additional cost I don't wish to pay. All the apps mentioned, except Google Pay and Google Assistant work with GBox too. Our China Xiaomi and Huawei phones, in the past, have always been able to run Google's apps. There was no Play Store, but that could be easily installed from apk if so desired. Huawei phones, of course, no longer have GMS pre-installed... but some users' requirements are such that they manage quite well without GMS.
