The online video platforms agreed to be acquired in a \$1.38 billion deal with Bending Spoons. 00:18 Speaker A What's Bending Spoons? Well, it's a European mobile app developer. It will purchase Vimeo in an all cash deal. 00:23 Speaker A Bending Spoons had been in talks with banks about financing a potential takeover of Vimeo as far back of as March of 2024, according to Bloomberg. 00:32 Speaker A Vimeo was spun off from one of Barry Diller's companies in 2021. It has since lost nearly 90% of its market value. The platform has faced stiff competition from rivals like YouTube, which is by far the more dominant force in the online video space. 00:45 Speaker A Next up, we got Rubrick, the cybersecurity firm seeing its biggest intraday drop on record after reporting third quarter earnings results. 00:53 Speaker A Rubrick reported a narrower than expected second quarter loss while revenue topped expectations. The stock initially rose after the results, but it's now taken a turn for the worse. 01:02 Speaker A And just for context here when we talk about biggest drop on record, this stock went public in April of 2024 at 32 bucks a share. 01:10 Speaker A And finally got Joby and Uber.
