Amparo Moraleda, the bank's vice president, has resigned after 12 years on the board. In addition to the changes at CaixaBank, the board of trustees of the Barcelona Institute of Economics has added three leading figures from the Catalan economy and business world. ### Amparo Moraleda #### He leaves his vice-presidency at CaixaBank Amparo Moraleda, after 12 years as a board member of CaixaBank, has announced her resignation. Moraleda, who joined as a member of the board, later became the first vice president of the Catalan-based bank. To replace her on the board, the appointment of Ana María García Fau as an independent director for a four-year term will be proposed to the shareholders' meeting. In addition, the CaixaBank board has agreed to propose to the next annual general meeting of shareholders, expected to be held on March 27, the re-election of Tomás Muniesa as a director for a four-year term. Muniesa, the bank's chairman since 2025, will therefore be able to continue leading the board. This strengthens the IEB's ties with leading figures in the economic and business fields. Andreu Mas-Colell is a professor of Economics at Pompeu Fabra University. He was a professor of Economics at Harvard University (1981-96) and president of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (2006-10). Joaquín Coello is a naval engineer from the Higher Technical School of Naval Engineers in Madrid. He has served as CEO and president of Applus (2006-2014), CEO of ITP, general manager of Gamesa, dean of the Official College of Naval Engineers of Barcelona, and president of the Social Council of the University of Barcelona. Coello was the first president of the IEB's board of trustees, from its founding in 2008 until 2014. José María Durán-Cabré is the current director of the Barcelona Institute of Economics, a position he has held since 2017. He is an associate professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Barcelona. Recognized for her inclusive leadership, customer-centric strategic vision, and ability to mobilize teams, Caroline Soladie is ambitious in her new role to strengthen Sodexo's position in Spain, drive innovation, and shape the company's future. ### Marta Sánchez Ugart #### Member of the CEOE Assembly The president of the Catalan Self-Employed Workers' Organization (Autcat), Marta Sánchez Ugart, was appointed to the CEOE Assembly, representing ATA, the National Federation of Associations of Self-Employed Workers. This step strengthens the Catalan association's presence at the national level and consolidates its voice in defending the interests of the self-employed.
