, there is a new Evaluation of Coursework form for LPCMH and LACMH applicants. Complete this form if you have NOT completed a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accredited program in clinical mental health counseling with a minimum of 60 graduate semester hours of coursework.

On March 1, 2023, the Board of Mental Health Counselors and Chemical Dependency Professionals regulations,
Section 12.0 Renewal and Continuing Education
, changed the biennial continuing education requirements for LPCMHs, LCPDs, LMFTs, and LPATs (Associate License holders are not required to complete CEs).
Beginning with the license renewal period starting October 1, 2022, as part of the 40 acceptable CE hours licensees must complete every two years for license renewal, at least
3 hours
must be in
ethics
and at least
3 hours
must be in
cultural inclusion, equity, and diversity
. For CE requirements for initial licensure periods of less than 2 years, see Regulations 12.2.1.1 to 12.2.1.4.
Objective and Function
The primary objective of the Delaware Board of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Professionals is to protect the public from unsafe practices and practices which tend to reduce competition or fix prices for services. The Board must also maintain standards of professional competence and service delivery. To meet these objectives, the Board
develops standards for professional competency
promulgates rules and regulations
adjudicates complaints against professionals and, when necessary, imposes disciplinary sanctions.
The Board issues licenses to professional counselors of mental health, associate counselors of mental health, chemical dependency professionals, marriage and family therapists and associate marriage and family therapists.

Meetings
Unless notified otherwise, the Board meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12:00 p.m., with the exception of July and November. All meetings are open to the general public and are held in the Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, in Dover. The meeting schedule is available at the State of Delaware

The Board may need to review and approve your application for licensure and will only review a complete application. A complete application includes your application and any documentation submitted through
DELPROS
and/or any documents submitted through the mail or email from third-parties. The Board will review your documentation at its next scheduled meeting.

The Board issues licenses to professional counselors of mental health, associate counselors of mental health, chemical dependency professionals, marriage and family therapists and associate marriage and family therapists.

## **Meetings**
Unless notified otherwise, the Board meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12:00 p.m., with the exception of July and November. All meetings are open to the general public and are held in the Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, in Dover. The Board may need to review and approve your application for licensure and will only review a complete application. A complete application includes your application and any documentation submitted through **DELPROS** and/or any documents submitted through the mail or email from third-parties. The Board will review your documentation at its next scheduled meeting.
