Application number
You can start a search using the number that appears on the Visa-On-Web online form after the visa application has been registered by the embassy or consulate general. For example: 73029, 5923, 266951.
You can also use the number provided by the Visa Application Center that received the application. For example: VFSPEK
000054554
or TLSBEY
000089765
.
Embassy or consulate general
If the embassy or consulate general that registered the visa application is not listed, you can contact the Infodesk directly.
Search result
A search can produce four results: (1) under examination, (2) additional documents, (3) approved, or (4) refused.
Attention!Â
If the result “Additional documents” appears, do not contact the Infodesk directly. This result means that the application is still under examination and that the Immigration Office is awaiting additional information from the applicant or a third party (notice or documents). If the applicant must submit additional documents (this is not always the case), the embassy or consulate will contact them.
No result
Do not panic. Several explanations are possible:
The application number is incorrect. In this case, perform a new search
after checking the number on the Visa-On-Web online form
.
The application is being processed by another Schengen State on behalf of Belgium. In this case, contact the embassy or consulate of that other Schengen State.
The Belgian embassy or consulate general has not (yet) forwarded the visa application to the Immigration Office. In this case, try again later or contact the embassy or consulate. It is possible that the post will make the decision itself.
The application was transmitted recently and the Immigration Office has not yet registered it. In this case, try again later.
Good to know!Â
The Immigration Office receives a large number of visa applications, especially during certain times of the year: school holidays, the start of the academic year, etc. Registration of an application may therefore take a bit longer when the number of applications increases significantly.Â
It is not useful to contact the Infodesk immediately, as they will not be able to assist you.
Please wait and try again later.
Contacting the Immigration Office Infodesk
You can contact the Infodesk if the application has not been processed within the time limit granted to the administration to make a decision.
