Step 1: Check the Device Support List
Device is running EMUI/ HarmonyOS version supported microG-hw version, or later version
Step 2: Install Google Apps â Follow the steps below:
For new devices, download and install MicroG components for top apps (e.g., WhatsApp, YouTube)
For existing devices, search "microG" in AppGallery and download the relevant components to install the MicroG

5. What are the conditions to use microG-hw?
There are four conditions for using microG-hw version on Huawei devices
1) Currently only the following models are support the use of microG-hwïŒ
Nova 11 series, Matepad Air& Matepad 11.5, P60Pro&MateX3, Mate50&Nova10 series, Nova Y90/Y70, Nova 9/9SE, Nova 7i/7se/7, P50/P50Pro/P50pocket, P40/P40 Pro/P40 Pro plus, Mate 30 series, Mate40Pro, Mate Xs 2, nova 8i, Matepad 10.4/Matepad 11/Matepad Pro11/ Matepad SE, Matepad Pro 12.6 only.
2) Only the following version numbers (Soft version) support the use of microG-hwïŒXX.X.X.XXX (

3) Make sure your EMUI version is the latest version: Settings > System & Updated > Software update > CHECK FOR UPDATES. If itâs not the latest version, please update EMUI version accordingly.
4) You should never install GMS such as "google mobile services", "Google Services Frameworkâ before. If you had try to install GMS before, you have to uninstall these GMS.
Step to uninstall GMS: Open AppGallery > Me > Installation manager > Installed >
search "google mobile services" ă"Google Services Frameworkâ
> uninstall all related App > reinstall microG Service and microG Companion.
6.When will I be able to experience microG-hw version on Huawei device?
You able to start experiencing microG-hw version on supported Huawei devices from 22th October 2024. This rollout will ensure that compatible devices can access the enhanced features provided by microG-hw version through AppGallery. Please refer to the latest supported device list as above.
7.Can I upgrade to microG-hw version directly?
Yes, you can upgrade to microG-hw version directly from the Huawei AppGallery. Device is running EMUI / HarmonyOS version supported microG-hw version, or later version. Please refer to the latest supported device list above.

If my device is support microG-hw version, what should I do if my Google Apps suddenly appear or I canât log into my account?
· Check if microG is installed â Ensure its installed and confirm whether itâs the microG version
· Verify EMUI / HarmonyOS compatibility: If you have the microG-hw version, check if your EMUI or HarmonyOS version meets the required specifications
If EMUI cannot be updated to the required version, follow these steps:
I. Uninstall microG and download the microG-hw version from AppGallery
II. Attempt to upgrade EMUI to a newer version that meets the requirements. If an upgrade isnât possible, it's recommended to visit a Service Center for assistance.
10. Why canât I open Google Apps after installing microG-hw version? Some apps crash or I canât log in to my account
To troubleshoot issues with Google apps after installing microG-lh version:
I. Verify that all required settings and authorizations for microG-hw are correctly configured
II. Check if your device meets the system requirements and has the correct software version
III. Uninstall microG and download from AppGallery
Please download the microG-lh from AppGallery by searching for it via Petal Search. Click 'INSTALL' for both microG Service and microG Companion.

Yes. You still can use those Google Apps.

Go to Settings > App & Services > Apps > Search âmicroGâ
16. Will microG always be available? Will it suddenly remove from AppGallery?
microG is an App from 3rd Party Provider, Huawei AppGallery will not remove this App, if it ensures security and compliance.

To switch accounts in the microG app, simply follow these steps:

***1\. What is microG-hw?***
microG-hw is an App from 3rd Party Provider. Itâs is the upgrade version of microG-lh to help you on running Google Apps on Huawei Device.
***2\. What is new feature of MicroG-hw compared with microG-lh?***
There are multiple enhanced features which are available on this new MicroG such as:
i) WhatsApp features (Fixed the issue where the thumbnail did not display correctly when sharing real-time location)
ii) Google Maps features (Installed version 11.121.0102, added landscape navigation feature; the notification bar will prompt users to update Google Play services)
âiii) Grindr features (Fixed the issue of being unable to log in and register with a Google account)
iv) Strava:Run, Bike, Hike features (Fixed the issue of being unable to subscribe to premium features; free features are functioning normally)
v)Temple Run 2 (Fixed the app crashing issue after logging with a Google account)
vi)Subway Surfers (Fixed the issue of being unable to log in with a Google account)
vii)Among Us(Fixed the issue of being unable to log in with a Google account)

***3\. How to upgrade microG-lh version to microG-hw version?***
**Step 1: Check the Device Support List**
Device is running EMUI/ HarmonyOS version supported microG-hw version, or later version
**Step 2: Install Google Apps â Follow the steps below:**
For new devices, download and install MicroG components for top apps (e.g., WhatsApp, YouTube)
For existing devices, search "microG" in AppGallery and download the relevant components to install the MicroG

**4\. Any specific Huawei Device Model support?**
Only the following models currently support MicroG-hw version: Mate 40 Pro, Mate Xs2, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, Mate X3, P40, P50, P50 Pro, P50 Pocket, P60 Pro, Nova 7, Nova 9 SE, Nova 9, Nova 10 SE, Nova 10, Nova 10 Pro, Nova 11i, Nova 11, Nova 11 Pro, Nova Y90, Y72, Y91, Y70, Y61, MatePad 11, Matepad Pro 12.6, Matepad Pro 11 LTE, Matepad Pro 11 Wi-Fi, Matepad SE 10.4 LTE, Matepad SE 10.4 Wifi, Matepad 11 2023, Matepad 11 2023 PaperMatte, Matepad Air, Matepad 11.5 LTE, Matepad 11.5 WIFI, and Matepad Pro 13.2.

**5\. What are the conditions to use microG-hw?**
There are four conditions for using microG-hw version on Huawei devices
1\) Currently only the following models are support the use of microG-hwïŒ**Nova 11 series, Matepad Air& Matepad 11.5, P60Pro\&MateX3, Mate50\&Nova10 series, Nova Y90/Y70, Nova 9/9SE, Nova 7i/7se/7, P50/P50Pro/P50pocket, P40/P40 Pro/P40 Pro plus, Mate 30 series, Mate40Pro, Mate Xs 2, nova 8i, Matepad 10.4/Matepad 11/Matepad Pro11/ Matepad SE, Matepad Pro 12.6 only.**
2\) Only the following version numbers (Soft version) support the use of microG-hwïŒXX.X.X.XXX (**C636**XXXXXX)
3\) Make sure your EMUI version is the latest version: Settings \> System & Updated \> Software update \> CHECK FOR UPDATES. If itâs not the latest version, please update EMUI version accordingly.
4\) You should never install GMS such as "google mobile services", "Google Services Frameworkâ before. If you had try to install GMS before, you have to uninstall these GMS.
**Step to uninstall GMS: Open AppGallery \> Me \> Installation manager \> Installed \> search "google mobile services" ă"Google Services Frameworkâ \> uninstall all related App \> reinstall microG Service and microG Companion.**
**6\.When will I be able to experience microG-hw version on Huawei device?**
You able to start experiencing microG-hw version on supported Huawei devices from 22th October 2024. This rollout will ensure that compatible devices can access the enhanced features provided by microG-hw version through AppGallery. Please refer to the latest supported device list as above.
**7\.Can I upgrade to microG-hw version directly?**
Yes, you can upgrade to microG-hw version directly from the Huawei AppGallery. Device is running EMUI / HarmonyOS version supported microG-hw version, or later version. Please refer to the latest supported device list above.
8\.**How to differentiate between the microG-lh and microG-hw version?**

**9\. If my device is support microG-hw version, what should I do if my Google Apps suddenly appear or I canât log into my account?**
· Check if microG is installed â Ensure its installed and confirm whether itâs the microG version
· Verify EMUI / HarmonyOS compatibility: If you have the microG-hw version, check if your EMUI or HarmonyOS version meets the required specifications
**If EMUI cannot be updated to the required version, follow these steps:**
I. Uninstall microG and download the microG-hw version from AppGallery
II. Attempt to upgrade EMUI to a newer version that meets the requirements. If an upgrade isnât possible, it's recommended to visit a Service Center for assistance.
**10\. Why canât I open Google Apps after installing microG-hw version? Some apps crash or I canât log in to my account**
To troubleshoot issues with Google apps after installing microG-lh version:
I. Verify that all required settings and authorizations for microG-hw are correctly configured
II. Check if your device meets the system requirements and has the correct software version

**III. Uninstall microG and download from AppGallery**

Please download the microG-lh from AppGallery by searching for it via Petal Search. Click 'INSTALL' for both microG Service and microG Companion.

**11\.Which Huawei tablets have had the landscape issue resolved?**
The landscape issue has been fixed for the following Huawei tablets: MatePad 11.5 Wi-Fi, MatePad 11 2023, MatePad 11 2023 PaperMatte, and MatePad Air.


**12\. Is there any relationship between microG-hw and Huawei?**
Both versions of microG-hw are developed by third parties and offer similar functions, with no official connection to Huawei. microG-hw is an open-source replacement for Google Play Services, allowing Huawei devices to run apps that rely on Google services. It has been integrated into AppGallery to enable functionality for Google-dependent apps.
**13\. Should I download microG first before I download Google App?**
Yes, suggest you follow the sequence which Download and Installed microG on your Huawei Device first before you download the Google Applications.
**14\. If I had already installed and used Google Apps on my phone before installed microG App, can I still use those Google Apps after installed microG-hw App?**
Yes. You still can use those Google Apps.
**15\. How to find microG App after installed it in my device**
Go to Settings \> App & Services \> Apps \> Search âmicroGâ
**16\. Will microG always be available? Will it suddenly remove from AppGallery?**
microG is an App from 3rd Party Provider, Huawei AppGallery will not remove this App, if it ensures security and compliance.
**17\.How to Change Logged-In Accounts in microG-hw version?**
To switch accounts in the microG app, simply follow these steps:
I. Open Settings \> Apps & services \> Apps
II. Search for microG Services
III. Tap on microG Services \> Storage
IV. Select Clear Data
V. Go back and tap the icon in the top-right corner
VI. Choose Accounts and log in with your new account
**18\. Can I still use Gbox?**
Yes, you may continue to use it. And we recommend you to download apps from AppGallery for better experience.
