Participants will learn basic safety procedures; tool identification, use, and selection; tool check out/in procedures, and basic carpentry mathematics. Other course topics may include techniques for framing walls, partitions, roofs, doors, and windows as well as understanding the basic materials and construction practices to layout and construct foundations and flooring systems. Throughout the course, participants are involved in live project construction to give practical application to knowledge learned. Intermediate Carpentry This course is a continuation of basic carpentry skills and terminologies. Students will complete a carpentry project of their choosing.
