In a busy city (and region) filled with luxury properties, the
Rosewood Doha
seems to understand its assignment — delivering modern Gulf luxury. Having been lucky enough to stay at several Rosewood properties around the world over the years, I’m not going to lie: my expectations were high (especially after a late change from the Mandarin Oriental Doha). Fortunately, upon arrival, the hotel feels less like a monument and more like a well-connected friend with excellent taste. In fact, our group fell instantly in love with the hotel before we even walked through the doors. For one of the coldest weekends in Doha — I lived there for 2 years, so I can speak with some degree of authority — the FOH/bell staff sport natty safari-adjacent hats and posh half-capes (I personally feel underdressed).
