Projects, ideas, & code to go Free · In‑App Purchases There’s a lot you can do on GitHub that doesn’t require a complex development environment – like sharing feedback on a design discussion, or reviewing a few lines of code. GitHub for iOS lets you move work forward wherever you are. Stay in touch with your team, triage issues, and even merge, right from the app. We’re making these tasks easy for you to perform, no matter where you work, with a beautifully native experience. You can use GitHub for iOS to: • Browse your latest notifications • Read, react, and reply to Issues and Pull Requests • Review and merge Pull Requests • Organize Issues with labels, assignees, projects, and more • Browse your files and code • Discover new and trending repositories ——— Terms of Service: https://docs.github.com/en/github/site-policy/github-terms-of-service Privacy Policy: https://docs.github.com/en/github/site-policy/github-privacy-statement 4.8 out of 5 31K Ratings I love being able to keep up with all my issues through my phone. The user interface is clean and it's easy to search for repositories. However, there is a feature I would like implemented. I would like the ability to view releases in the app. It's annoying when I go to a notification for a release and tap on it, only for it to send me to the website. And, if I click a link to the releases of a repository in my web browser, it opens the repository in the app but doesn't show me the releases. Overall, great app, and if that one feature was added my browser and app my device I want to love the app, but I can’t. All too often I regret even having it installed. Having it for a backup second factor authentication is the only real advantage I see in having this app installed. If there were a way to not have the app automatically hijack every link to anything on GitHub that would be a huge step I. The right direction. When I try to open a link from an email (yes I know you who never do this, and maybe Microsoft/GitHub are secretly trying to break this habit) it opens in the app and I am see a bank screen that says “something went wrong.” Indeed - terribly wrong, I have my email client set to open ALL links with Firefox! There should be a setting to hijack links or not, I would prefer that the only time a link opens with the GitHub app is when I sm actually using the app. When I am using my browser and click on a search result go a GitHub repo, I get pulled out of my browser and the link opens in this app with its terrible painful navigation. If you want to quickly check the results of your last workflow runs, this app is the slowest and most painful way to do that. Actions are not listed by the most recent workflow runs, you get a list of the workflow files, and it’s up to you to know which of those were run most recently… and no hint of the status (did it default, is the workflow still running, until after you look at each individual workflow file. I could go on, but if these problems were fixed everything else would be minor inconveniences that I would probably overlook. What's new: • Introducing a refreshed Copilot Home with an overview of your agent sessions and chat history to help you find what you need faster. • The new agent list view includes filters to sort tasks by state, with real-time updates as you start new sessions. Bug fixes: • Fixed a crash that could occur when rapidly tapping reaction buttons on comments. Every time I add a new favorite it’ll disappear from my list a few minutes later, sometimes right before my eyes it’ll remove itself from my list. On top of that, the search functionality is atrocious, and way too limited. We can’t even search our own repos! The search functionality we do have for the rest of the site leaves a lot to be desired and doesn’t even return the same results as the website. We should be able to search our starred repos, our own repos as well as choose how our own repos are filtered, this is bottom of the barrell functionality that should be a no brainer. If its possible on the website, it should be possible in the application. Im honestly shocked at how little functionality this app offers as the official github client.lastly, iOS 14 required now? you cant be serious. time to write a good github client on my own I guess, supporting iOS 13 isnt difficult and theres absolutely nothing earth shattering offered in the 14 SDK that github needs to function. id be embarassed if i wrote an app this shoddy for such a high profile company. Those lists line up more with “best practices from a textbook” than with how actual engineers need to navigate day to day. If your workflow doesn’t match that model, you end up lost in the app with no way to just… see the repo you know is there. It’s the same disease across the GitHub product surface: the pull request extension, the “Projects” integrations, even some of the Codespaces UI. Everything is filtered, abstracted, or “curated” before you ever get to raw lists. The assumption seems to be that every team follows the same structure and rituals, when in reality a ton of dev teams don’t use milestones, labels, or projects at all — they just want to search commits or scan repos. My point is about evaluation teams. These kinds of UX choices usually come from dogfooding within a product org that has a very specific culture. If you’re not rowing in that same direction, the abstractions just get in the way. A simple “basic list view first, filters later” approach would solve most of this pain.Delete? Yes. Overall, great app, and if that one feature was added my browser and app my device - I want to love the app, but I can’t. - ## Data Linked to You The following data may be collected and linked to your identity: - Identifiers - ## Data Not Linked to You The following data may be collected but it is not linked to your identity: - Diagnostics - ## Supported Features - VoiceOver - Voice Control - Larger Text - Dark Interface - Differentiate Without Color Alone - Sufficient Contrast - Reduced Motion Information - Seller - GitHub - Size - 148\.9 MB - Category - Developer Tools - Compatibility Requires iOS 16.0 or later. - **iPhone** Requires iOS 16.0 or later. - **iPad** Requires iPadOS 16.0 or later. - Languages English and 6 more - English, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish - Age Rating 13+ - 13+ - **Contains** Messaging and Chat User-Generated Content - In-App Purchases Yes - GitHub Pro \$3.99 - Copilot Pro \$10.00 - Copilot Pro+ \$39.99 - Copyright - © 2020 GitHub, Inc.
