Some time ago we published unboxing of SJCAM SJ6 Legend 4K action camera . We are after the tests so we want to show you SJCAM SJ6 Legend 4k action camera review . In this review you will be able to see the camera, and video and photo samples that we have prepared for you. First impressions , settings, overview of features Taking the SJ6 Legend’s camera in a waterproof case, and without it, you can quickly see that the materials used and the design of the camera are high quality with attention to detail. The camera looks very aesthetically and elegantly. After removal of the waterproof case can feel pleasant housing SJ6 Legend camera. Which on all sides of the camera is embossed to facilitate good hold. At the front of the camera is a light indicator, front LCD and lens. On one side (left side when we look at the 2.0 touch screen) we find: ON/OFF button with LED and switch mode button, menu (settings) button / WiFi  On the next side (to the right, looking at the back screen) we find: Mic, HDMI port, slot for microSD card, Mini USB port At the top of the camera is a shutter release / OK button with LED. On the bottom of the camera is a battery (1000mAh) and 1/4″-20 standard for mounting the camera. The waterproof case for the SJ6 Legend is also very well made of good quality plastic. The waterproof case has a very good security lock at the top, and on the outside of the case we find buttons that allow trouble-free access to the SJ6 Legend function key inside the case. As we mentioned earlier we have additionally received 2.4G waterproof wireless watch remote controller (SJ SMART REMOTE) for SJCAM M20, SJ6 LEGEND and SJ7 Star action camera. Remote Watch you must buy separately or in combination with the camera. SJCAM wrist remote controller is available on Banggood for $19.99 . Below some pictures. In addition, we have received to the SJCAM SJ6 Legend an external microphone. Like a remote controller, the microphone also needs to be purchased separately. The external microphone is compatible with the cameras: SJ6, SJ7 and SJ360 is available in Official SJCAM store on Aliexpress for and Banggood . Below some pictures. The SJCAM SJ6 Legend has many features and settings that you can easily change and customize as you need by 2.0 touch screen (big plus!). Also via the included waterproof touch door it is easy to navigate the Menu when the camera is in a waterproof case. As you have seen before, the SJ6 Legend 4K camera also has a second front display (1-inch LCD display) that shows you the camera mode, the settings, battery consumption and the operating time. Of course if you do not want to use the front display you can turn it off in the settings. The SJ6 Legend camera has a simple Menu and easy access to settings. The main menu provides access to the main operating modes: Video, Video Lapse, Slow Rec, Still, Photo Lapse, Burst Mode, Video + photo, Car Mode, Underwater. Below an overview of the settings some camera modes and main settings. The SJCAM SJ6 Legend 4K action camera which we received for testing has the V1.4.6 firmware version . During the tests, we also used selfie stick Apeman ST180 . The camera works with Wifi, with SJ Smart Remote and drone (FPV). The battery (1000mAh) when recording in 4K@24fps is enough for about 70-80 minutes. Interestingly, the camera comes with a fairly short mini USB cable, and the camera has a mini USB port where most of the cameras have a micro USB port. The advantage of use of the mini USB is the availability of accessories, such as an external microphone (ending the mini USB). SJ6 Legend camera can be operated in three ways: manually (by pressing buttons and touch screen), via watch remote controller and SJCAM Zone app (for iOS and Android app ) via WiFi. The application allows you to access most of the settings in the camera and is very helpful. Unfortunately, you can not via the app change the resolution to 4K@24fps. Below several screenshots from SJCAM Zone app . If you really want to easily operate the SJ6 Legend camera , you must definitely use a watch remote controller (SJ Smart Remote). Very easy to work with the camera. Just press a button and the camera reacts instantly. If you want to record in 4K@24fps (interpolated), you will need a watch remote controller (the application only supports 2K@30fps). Click to Enlarge Video Samples The most important of course are video and photo samples, so below we want to show you some of them. The camera can record video in .MP4 or .MOV format and capture in JPEG or .RAW file. We start from the video. More details in movie descriptions. Conclusions The SJCAM SJ6 Legend camera it’s 4K (4K @ 24fps (interpolated)) action camera with many advanced features and settings. The 2.0″ touch screen makes it easy to navigate and access settings, also the front display is helpful. The camera offers excellent video quality and images in default settings (pictures at night are not the best), including special modes: car mode, underwater, timelapse, slow rec. The SJ6 Legend records very well the audio, also in the waterproof case, for an even better quality use an external microphone (buy separately). The big plus for the watch remote controller (SJ Smart Remote), which cooperates with SJ6 Legend perfectly, and makes it very easy to operate the action camera.  SJCAM Zone app , unfortunately, has a limit for the video to 2K@30fps resolution, so besides working well. Taking into account: camera quality, video quality and photos, as well as accessories included in the set, the SJCAM SJ6 Legend has a reasonable price (good value for money). If you are looking for a multitasking 4K action camera with good video quality that you can use in a variety of conditions, with a reasonable price, then SJCAM SJ6 Legend should satisfy you.
