Location is perfect in College Park, right off the highway and in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The entire staff, from the front desk girls, to the [physical therapy](https:\/\/aica.com\/services\/physical-therapy\/) girls, to the [chiros](https:\/\/aica.com\/services\/chiropractic\/), and the medical team are AMAZING! I feel like I just lost my friends not being able to visit them twice a week every week. I will definitely miss coming here. All the smiles and warm welcomes received. The physical therapy - asking about my day, if everything is okay and helping my back and neck get better. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Hector as my chiropractor, he is awesome, was very helpful in the healing process and also a native Spanish speaker which is a plus for those of us who do speak Spanish. Before coming to AICA, I tried another injury clinic in ATL and walked out after 5 mins - so impersonal and cold. I am so glad that I found AICA in College Park. Trust me, if you are injured and need some healing and TLC you NEED to come to this clinic! Highly recommend to everyone. But studies do confirm that weather conditions can impact the body in various ways, including triggering a flare-up of past injuries.\n\nFor some, the barometric pressure may affect arthritis of the joints, causing pain when the weather changes. For others, migraines occur more frequently in certain weather conditions. Whatever the science behind it, it does seem that weather-related pain is a real condition.\n\nIf you’re experiencing pain due to past injuries, you may need to visit a [local orthopedic clinic](https:\/\/aica.com\/) to find real relief and healing.\n\n**Past Injuries and the Weather**\n\nMost often, weather-related pain occurs in injured joints or at the site of a previously [broken bone.](https:\/\/aica.com\/we-treat\/conditions\/fractures\/)  The most common body parts to experience aches or pains as the weather changes are [knees](https:\/\/aica.com\/we-treat\/pain\/knee\/) and [ankles.](https:\/\/aica.com\/we-treat\/pain\/ankle\/)\n\nWhile scientists aren’t entirely sure exactly what causes pain when it rains, it is known to be related to the barometric pressure. The barometric pressure drops when storms are rolling in, and somehow, the body detects this change, causing swelling of soft tissue or expanding of joint fluid. These changes in the collection are what ultimately lead to pain.\n\nIf you suffer from inflammation or fluid already around the joints, you are more likely to feel it when the weather changes than others. But the fact remains that that achy, painful feeling can be uncomfortable.\n\n**Ease Weather-Related Pain**\n\nIt’s not just rain that makes our bodies hurt. Location is perfect in College Park, right off the highway and in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The entire staff, from the front desk girls, to the [physical therapy](https://aica.com/services/physical-therapy/) girls, to the [chiros](https://aica.com/services/chiropractic/), and the medical team are AMAZING! I feel like I just lost my friends not being able to visit them twice a week every week. I will definitely miss coming here. All the smiles and warm welcomes received. The physical therapy - asking about my day, if everything is okay and helping my back and neck get better. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Hector as my chiropractor, he is awesome, was very helpful in the healing process and also a native Spanish speaker which is a plus for those of us who do speak Spanish. Before coming to AICA, I tried another injury clinic in ATL and walked out after 5 mins - so impersonal and cold. I am so glad that I found AICA in College Park. But studies do confirm that weather conditions can impact the body in various ways, including triggering a flare-up of past injuries. For some, the barometric pressure may affect arthritis of the joints, causing pain when the weather changes. For others, migraines occur more frequently in certain weather conditions. Whatever the science behind it, it does seem that weather-related pain is a real condition. If humidity is the source of joint or injury pain, staying indoors and out of moisture is recommended. Exercise can relieve stiffness in joints and reduce fluid around joints. Also, be sure to drink lots and lots of water to stay hydrated because dehydration only adds to the pain. Being proactive during weather changes is one of the best things you can do.
